Nick Norton (Bloomington, Ill.) scored 15 points and Brady Ellingson (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) added 13 points. Tremell Murphy (Griffith, Ind.) and D.J. Wilkins (Merrillville, Ind.) each had 10 points. Drake led by as many as 19 points in the second half before Texas State (2-1) went on a 12-0 run and eventually cut the lead to as few as two points.
