The City ID, called PRIDE (Proud Resident ID for Elkhart), allows the cardholder to show who they are and where they live.The ID can be used in multiple situations, such as when parents attend events at their children’s school, when residents interact with law enforcement as a victim or a witness to a crime, or to present as a means of identification to healthcare professionals.The Council voted 9-0 in favor of the IDs, making Elkhart the fourth city in Indiana to have a municipal ID program.
