The Congress of Hoteliers organized by UPUHH will be held on November 28 and 29, 2018 at the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel as a kind of retrospective of the current tourist year. The central topic of this year’s congress is “Overtourism”, and in the first panel discussion on this topic will be discussed with representatives of Croatian and European cities, which will present the challenges faced by hoteliers in relation to mass tourism, legal framework, sustainable business, and cycles of seasonality. The program will continue with a panel on ’21st Century Migration – The Search for Opportunity’, and will end with an analysis of wages in the hotel sector in Croatia and the rest of Europe.The second day of the congress begins with the presentation ‘The Future of Tourism: Growth through Sustainability’, Ph.D. Jelinčićs Institute for Development and International Relations which will continue with a panel discussion on the same topic. The panel will bring together distinguished representatives of the government and ministries of tourism, the Ministry of Culture, the Croatian Society of Composers and the Secretary General of the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation.The second panel of the second day entitled ‘Synergy of hospitality and creative cultural industries’ will bring together distinguished representatives of culture, music, design, architecture and fashion, and will try to offer a proposal for certain long-term plans for tourism, in synergy with complementary industries. answer the question of how important complementary industries really are and how necessary.APPENDIX: PROGRAM / XXI CONGRESS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ENTREPRENEURS IN THE HOTEL HOTELS OF CROATIAlast_img
